Android hits 1.5 million daily activations, Play Store downloads reach 50 billion

Google always has something impressive to share with us. It usually releases the figures of total Android activations, Android versions market share, daily Android activations etc. In I/O 2013, Google announced that 900 million Android devices have been activated yet. This time Google exec Eric Schmidt spoke in "Dive Into Mobile" conference that each day 1.5 million Android devices are activated. This figure is more than last month's 1.4 million daily activations. Eric Shcmidt stated that company is focusing on 1 billion Android activations by the end of the year.

It doesn't end here. During Q2 earnings of company, Google's CEO Larry Page said that company has earned revenue of $14.11 USD billion, which was a 19% increase over Q2 last year.  Also the Play Store downloads have crossed 50 billion apps

In I/O 2012, there were 400 million total devices activated while in I/O 2013 there are 900 million activated Android devices. Don't you think that Android is growing at a rapid rate, more than we expect?
