It's not long since iPhone 5 was released. It did not satisfied the users' demands so Apple may have thought to treat the world with new iteration of device. The Cupertino giant is reported to be developing and testing next version of iPhone.
According to The Next Web
"One developer showed us that Apple has been testing hardware relating to a new ‘iPhone6,1′ identifier, powered by a device running iOS 7, which is expected to be released by Apple in the middle part of this year."The iPhone 5 is identified in app usage logs as 'iPhone 5,1' and 'iPhone 5,2' depending on which 4G LTE it uses, so the new 'iPhone 6,1' identifier is believed to be Apple's next generation model. We don't know how much these developer logs are true, but still they don't provide any more information about the device.
May be there is something in Apple Inc's head to surprise the users, but it is not likely to be launched before Q2 of 2013. All we have to do is to wait and watch for the announcement by Jony Ive's team.
