Samsung is developing Galaxy Tablet 3 Plus with 2560 x 1600 resolution
Samsung seems to be developing a super high resolution tablet that will have screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It will be really high resolution on a tablet, in fact there's only one such tablet i.e. Nexus 10. Probably it may have name Galaxy Tab 3 Plus.
There's a device in list of Samsung devices' User Agent Profiles or UAProf on a Samsung's site which has the codename SM-P900. It may be the device which we are talking about. There are 3 versions of SM-P900 listed: corresponding to Samsung’s typical SKUs: SM-P900 – 3G, SM-P901 – Wi-Fi, and SM-P905 – LTE. It will have 1.4 GHz chip and run on Android 4.2.2.
Galaxy Note 10.1 is already waiting for a refresh which seems to be completed soon in September. It is not clear whether Samsung will release Galaxy Tab 3 Plus in IFA 2013 in Berlin in September or may be out of the event. It's interesting to see that both last and upcoming high res display tablets are from Samsung's stable.

Samsung is rumored to launch 5.9 inch Galaxy Note III
It seems that Samsung is not satisfied from its current screen sizes or it has focused on screen sizes only. Samsung’s original Galaxy Note introduced 5.3" screen and current Galaxy Note II has a 5.5-inch screen and the company is thinking to take the figures higher.
It is rumored that upcoming Galaxy Note, probably Galaxy Note III will feature a 5.9 inch screen. It was also heard tha Samsung is making a 6.3 inch display Galaxy Note, but this time the news seems accurate.
According to a Samsung employee
“Even if these kinds of sizes ― from 5-inch to 6-inch ― are stretching the limits of traditional pockets, well-made phablets using bezel-less technology have been warmly received. Users prefer bigger phones and they use them more often. Samsung will be more focused on larger phones.”In addition to confirming the large screen of the upcoming mobile phone, Samsung’s official also said that the 8-core Exynos 5 Octa processor that was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January would be included inside it. Samsung’s large screen phones have become increasingly popular in the United States, despite early speculation that the devices might be too big.

iPhone with 4.8 inch display rumored to be released in Summer 2014.
Apple is gonna to be enter the large screen smartphone market, but not now, even not by the end of this year. The new iPhone from Cupertino giant is expected to have a 4.8 inch screen and will be going to be released in Summer 2014.
The company is planning to launch an iPhone with a 4.8-inch display sometime in the future, and Jefferies analyst Peter Misek thinks it will not hit the market this year, but instead in 2014. Apple's plan was to release the bigger iPhone at the end of the year (October time frame) to prevent market share loss, but Misek reports Apple's screen suppliers are struggling to increase the size of the 4-inch iPhone to 4.8-inches.
If Apple had released the iPhone 6 this year, it would have been the third new iPhone model for the year, according to Misek's roadmap. He says Apple will release a low-cost iPhone in June, as well as an iPhone 5S, which is a slight bump over the current iPhone 5.
Misek also suggested Apple will move to a quad-core or octa-core smartphone and will launch a brand new version of iOS that’s capable of taking advantage of those added cores. But that may be a expectation of Misek as of the devices launched in CES 2013, or may be that is going to be true. Who knows except time and Apple too.
