Apple is reportedly going to launch iPhone with big screen

According to analyst Peter Misek, Apple is unlikely to change the shape or basic structure of the iPhone in 2013, and is instead planning on releasing an update, the iPhone 5s, this year.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said on the company’s March-quarter earnings call that smartphone vendors have made too many “tradeoffs” with the user experience on handsets with large displays, and he has no interest in making similar sacrifices with the iPhone. According to him, Apple is not going to change the screen size to a long one.

Misek didn’t say how big the screen will be, but rumors are spreading on the web that iphone will show multiple screen sizes. A lot of manufacturers are now working on large screen sizes, but Apple doesn't seem to be in the philosophy of large is best. The Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch screen, the HTC One has a 4.7-inch display, Galaxy Note II has 5.5 inch screen, while recenlty launched Samsung Galaxy Mega sport 6.3 and 5.8 inch display.

We don't know whether Peter Misek will be correct or Apple won't release such iPhone, all we can is to wait for WWDC 2013 which is going to take place in San Fransisco, from June 10-14. Let's see what is special for us at there?

Nexus 10 successor will be loaded with eight cores

Google's annual event I/O 2013 is near, and we all are waiting for new software and devices, and updates to existing software and hardware. Last year we saw +Android update Jelly Bean 4.2, Nexus 4 (LG), Nexus 7 (ASUS) and Nexus 10 (Samsung). Although its not clear that manufacturer will be Google's partener this year, but we are sure that we will see either new devices or will get updated ones.

Rumors are floating that Samsung is developing an octa-core version of Nexus 10 tablet. According to SamMobile.com, a successor to the Nexus 10 is in the works at Samsung, but needs one final approval from Google. The site describes the Nexus 11, as the rumored device is allegedly called, as being a “high-end 11” tablet. It will be the world’s first octa-core tablet and will be loaded with Exynos 5410 chip.

According to a leaked rap sheet, the Nexus 11 will sport an 11-inch Super PLS TFT display, an 8-megapixel camera (2-megapixel front), microSD support (up to 64GB rumored). But this device is still not approved by Google. This is the first time when rumors of Nexus 11 are floating. SamMobile also says that Samsung is building another 11" tablet, Galaxy Tab 11. From a spec standpoint, the Tab 11 sounds identical to the Nexus 11, but it won’t have the same processor.

None of the rumor have a solid base, but we expect to see this device. Would you like Google to launch one more Nexus?

Next Android version will remain Jelly Bean 4.3, not Key Lime Pie 5.0

Hey Folks, there's a serious news for Android lovers. For past 5-6 months we've been rumored for the next version of Android to be launched under the name "Key Lime Pie" as version 5.0. Now, the Google I/O is near (May 15-17, 2013) the reports are floating on the web that the next taste of Android will not be Key Lime Pie, Google is still in the mood to call it "Jelly Bean" with version number 4.3.

A reddit user danrant has chimed in with a whole bunch of evidence that points to an incremental Jelly Bean release rather than Key Lime Pie. The thread can be found here. Another proof comes from Artem Russakovskii.

The devices seen via the server logs are the Nexus 4 handset and Nexus 7 tablet, using a build identified as Android 4.3 JWR23B. As Artem notes, the first letter of the build code matches its corresponding dessert name, which in this case points to another Jelly Bean release. This would also suggest that the next Android update won’t be a major new release, but rather an incremental refinement of the existing Jelly Bean offering.

According to Android Community, it is also being heard that Google will also be releasing a PDK (Platform Development Kit) to help manufacturers update Android versions more quickly. Well, Google hasn't said any word about these rumors, neither about Android 4.3 JB nor about 5.0 KLP. Everything will be clear in Google I/O. Till then, wait and watch.
